Dr. Jacqueline Caster, a Mechanicsburg native, is moving back to her hometown to be the managing dentist at Verber’s newest office, Cumberland Valley Pediatric Dentistry.
“As a pediatric dentist, I am looking forward to providing extraordinary dental care to children in the community in which I grew up and making a positive impact in the lives of my patients,” said Dr. Jacqueline Caster.
Dr. Caster attended Trinity High School in Camp Hill and left the central PA area to further her education. Caster headed west to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Duquesne University Mylan School of Pharmacy in Pittsburgh. She then attended Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona to get her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
After graduation, Dr. Caster went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois where she discovered her passion for providing dental care to children as well as patients with special health care needs.
She worked for several years as a contract general dentist for the United States Air Force at Vandenberg Air Force Base in northern Santa Barbara County, California prior to pursuing a career in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Caster then headed back to Pennsylvania to complete a pediatric dentistry residency program at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine while serving as chief resident her last year. During her residency, she conducted research focused on diagnosing and managing tongue and lip ties in breastfeeding patients.
In her spare time, Dr. Caster enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She and her husband, Dr. Devin Caster, have a daughter, Madeleine, and two dogs.
