In a recent ABC27 Good Day PA segment, Dr. Michael Verber, Rebecca Kipe of Peace Promise, and survivor Donna highlighted a meaningful partnership providing free dental care to survivors of trafficking and exploitation through Verber Dental Group’s Time to Smile initiative. Dr. Verber explained that when he learned about Peace Promise’s work and the dental needs of their survivors—many of whom struggle with dental issues and dental anxiety—the partnership felt like a natural fit. Peace Promise, a local Harrisburg organization, works with women to help them escape exploitation, providing relationship support, job assistance, and help navigating appointments and everyday challenges that many survivors face without a family support system.

A key component of Peace Promise’s mission is their social enterprise, Good Ground Coffee Company in Camp Hill, which provides survivors with understanding, flexible employment. Survivor Donna shared her powerful story of finding consistency, trust, and meaningful work making lip balms and soaps—experiences that helped her rediscover her self-worth and confidence as a productive member of the community. Together, Verber Dental Group and Peace Promise are doing more than restoring smiles—they’re restoring dignity and hope.
